Garrett and Honora Scollard arrived in Melbourne, Australia on the "White Star" which left Liverpool on 30 July 1866. They were accompanied by their children Mary, Amelia, Thomas, Ellen and James. They settled in Yackandandah, Victoria where three more children, Johanna, Garrett and John were born. They adopted unofficially a child, Michael John born to Amelia.
